so, recently one of HBM's posts contained a performer who raised a few questions about Horribly Bad Music. i was contacted directly, and i pulled down the post.
i am not here to moderate criticism over whether or not a specific artist should or should not be included herein. i am not here to defend my position on specifics of artists or musical stylings. i am not here attempting to state that i exist on a plane above everyone else as some end-all-be-all decision maker regarding good or bad taste.
this whole thing is an experiment. hopefully a humorous experiment. i am for absurdity and silliness and all for posing questions (not answering them).
i started this blog because so many people say, "you remember that awful song a few years back that goes (insert melody or partial lyrics here)."
i reserve the right to pull down any post wherein the artist directly contacts me. i do not wish to be included in any type of defamation/slander battle. i do not play around with this.
this whole thing is, again, for entertainment purposes. if i hear from you directly, the artist who's videos are culled from youtube or youtube-like sources, consider your post deleted. it's not worth the discussion. the posts are simply meant as placeholders for music to be referenced later.
for the record, the videos do not exist on any server owned by any of the team members of Horribly Bad Music. They are embedded. If you wish to be excluded from anything Horribly Bad Music does, either disable embedding or contact me.

Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling

If we expand the contraction, the name of this song is "I have got to feeling". I don't know much about the Black Eyed Peas, but is English their first language? Des'ree's song down there is horrible, but at least the title makes some sense; "You have got to be bold, wiser, tough, blah blah blah".
The song itself is terrible, even by the low low standards set by "My Humps". I can't count off the reasons as well as this guy over at Cracked.
Here's the stupid video, which doesn't allow embedding.

Jeannie C. Riley - Harper Valley PTA
This song was turned into a movie. And a TV show. I think almost every country singer without a penis has covered this song. I met Tom T. Hall once, and he seemed like a nice enough guy, but man, I hate this song.
Bruce Springsteen - Glory Days
1) Steven Van Zandt is so creepy. I like his radio show on Sirus, but I didn't realize how much of my enjoyment came from not seeing his face.
2) This song is about twice as long as it needs to be.
3) I hate baseball.
